COPLA Global
ODI will seek to influence global actors and engage stakeholders beyond Latin America. We seek to bridge research and practice in Latin America with other regions in the world. We will do this by providing a wealth of information on this website and using our strengths as an London based think tank to create a platform for discussion in the North.
ODI will provide a lead on knowledge management best practice among the programme partners and make lessons from the programme available to website visitors.

Julio 2008: Turismo para los grupos marginales de América Latina
Una de las áreas principales de estudio del programa COPLA es cómo grupos socialmente marginados pueden beneficiarse de un incremento del comercio regional y global. En el 2003, la región recibió 45 millones de turistas internacionales, quienes generaron cerca de US$30 billones -el equivalente a US$56 por año por persona en la región. Por lo tanto el sector turismo no debe ser pasado por alto como una importante fuente de ingreso para estos grupos tradicionalmente excluidos.
