Trade, Gender and Equity in Latin America: ellaborating an influence plan

A Participative Planning Workshop took place last 17th and 18th of April, in Montevideo, for the Latin American Gender and Trade Network (LAGTN), organized by Interdisciplinary Center of Studies on Develpoment – Uruguay (CIEDUR) and financed by (International Development Research Center) IDRC – Canada.
CIPPEC facilitated the workshop with the aim of providing and socializing concrete tools of political influence to strengthen the national processes of influence taking advantage of what LAGTN and other organizations of the region has already advance in this field. Another aim was to elaborate a draft of an influence plan of the research on Trade, Gender and Equity.
The working experience together with the Network allowed CIPPEC to better understand the Latin American scenario on Trade and Gender, how a regional network works and who are the actors involved; and, in terms of influence, get to know better the tools available and the possibilities they have to influence better.
